Whilst at Cartwright Pickard James Lee was project architect for this mixed-use scheme in South London. Part of the Southwark Regeneration Plan Clarson House is a mixed tenure development for Wandle Housing. The scheme delivered 103 shared ownership and social rent homes on a tight triangular site. One of the main constraints was the presence of a red route with high pollution levels along the main elevation. Winter gardens are used to provide acoustic protection. The massing of the scheme was critical due to neighbouring residential uses and the need to create a robust appropriate urban design proposal for the site.
